Our cattery is located in the apartment at the Globen in Stockholm in the winter and in the summer in a cottage in Roslagen. I stan har våra katter en in-nätad balkong som dom tycker mycket om och på landet har dom den spännande naturen. The cattery is operated by me/Ester/and sometimes helps the adolescent son and grandchildren to. Our cats have a fun life. Because they're at home most, I have customized the home mainly for dom. The living room has a climbing – a Rowan that go from floor to ceiling and has sovkorgar on its branches. Between the bookshelves goes then a plank across the room – walking the plank is very popular – and at the other end of the plank is a sisal-tube where you can climb down again. The cats are happy with their climbing furniture but guests can get a little surprised….

My cat interest came late. My son wanted so badly to have a cat and promised and bedyrade that he would take care of it all by herself and we bought the little red tbehnam1987 Sigge. Half a day later, it was I who had the care of Sigge. Alexandra was a great little Kitty and I became so fond of him! With Siggy started my kattliv. I later began to look for the optimum cat breed. It would be healthy, sociable, beautiful and fast learner – I plowed cat books in search of the best breed and found – LA PERM!
Our first “pieces” became Elsie and Helga from the cattery Perm-a-manent – two nice girls with very different personalities – tack för dom Elinore!

Our first litter came 0801 When Elsie became a mother. Kid's new carpet and hussar were delighted and I can only agree with – La Perm is an amazing cat!

Våra avelskatter testas för FIV/FelV. Vi har precis börjat beställa PK-test för våra katter då det hittats ett par katter med PK-brist i syd-Sverige samt att PK-brist befunnits överrepresenterad hos La perm utomlands. Vi skannar inte längre för HCM då vi inte känner till någon enda La Perm i Sverige som fått HCM sen vi började testa för flera år sen. Eftersom La Perm är en ny ras med smal avelsbas är det viktigt för oss att bredda den genom import eller köp av obesläktade hanar i Sverige. Vi vill undvika utavel med andra kattraser för att slippa de rassjukdomar som de flesta etablerade kattraserna har befästa! Vi köper nu hanar som kattungar till vår avel för att slippa risken för smitta av till exempel livmoderinflammation som tidigare förekommit vid köp av parning. Vi väljer gärna avelshanar med så många generationer som möjligt med endast la perm-katter för att behålla och föra vidare så mycket som möjligt av det unika La perm-temperamentet och utseendet!

 

When a kitten from us moves to its new home at the earliest 12 weeks of age is she/he is DECLAWED, vaccinated 2 times, besiktigad av veterinär med protokoll och ID-märkt med chip samt har stamtavla i Sverak. The kitten gets herself a kitten Pack from feed manufacturers and a blanket that smells like MOM.
